What We Teach

The Lannoy School of Performing Arts teaches all the major genres of dancing – Ballet, Tap and Modern and these are all taught under the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD). All of our teachers are professionally trained under the ISTD and continue to work on their own professional development as staff members. Our children frequently undertake examinations in their genres and in recent years the majority have excelled gaining awards at Distinction and Merit level – we are incredibly proud of the work they put into these and the results they achieve.

We teach several very popular Street Dance classes in Grayshott and Petersfield (for both adults and children!) during the day and after school in term times.  On Saturday mornings we run a very popular Musical Theatre workshop called ‘Showtime’. ‘Showtime’ is run by Miss Michelle and Miss Danni and is a fantastic mix of acting, singing and dancing together with a termly production which parents are invited to watch.

New to our timetable for 2022 we are running Acrobatic Arts classes on Friday afternoons in Grayshott. Acrobatic Arts is a fusion of classic dance technique and acrobatics and focusses on building strength, flexibility and balance. The children will take exams and follow a syllabus and as they progress will learn acrobatic tricks.

During the school holidays we often run summer schools to allow children the experience of putting on a West End performance. For summer 2022 we will be running an ‘Encanto’ summer school for our younger students (aged 4 – 10) and Six! for children aged 11 and above which will involve choreographing dance routines, singing and acting.

Please get in touch if you would be interested in booking a trial for your child or for more details email: INFO@LANNOYSCHOOL.COM
