This policy explains how Lannoy School of Performing Arts (LSPA) collects and uses personal information when you use this website, join our mailing list or get in touch with us. We are the data controller for the information described here.
Who we are
Lannoy School of Performing Arts is a dance and theatre school based in Haslemere and Hindhead. You can contact us about anything in this policy by emailing info@lannoyschool.com or calling 07958 105546.
What we collect and why
- Mailing list. If you sign up in the footer of this site we collect your name and email address, and a record that you agreed to receive emails. We use them only to send occasional news and updates about LSPA. Our lawful basis is your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email or contacting us.
- Enquiries. If you email or phone us, we use the details you give us to reply and to deal with your enquiry. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or taking steps at your request before you book.
- Class and camp bookings. Bookings and payments are handled through ClassForKids, not on this website. When you book, ClassForKids processes your information on our behalf and their own privacy policy also applies.
- Website analytics. With your permission we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are popular. This uses cookies (see below) and only runs if you choose “Accept analytics”.
This website is aimed at parents, carers and adult students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the website.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:
- Essential storage to remember your cookie choice (lspa_cookie_consent, kept for 6 months), plus technical cookies our hosting and security tools need to keep the site working and safe.
- Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics (_ga and _ga_*), only if you accept them. They typically last up to 2 years.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies for marketing. You can change your mind at any time: change your cookie settings.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run LSPA and this website, such as our website host and developer, our email provider, ClassForKids for bookings and Google for analytics. They may only use it to provide their service to us. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, they use appropriate safeguards such as UK-approved contract clauses.
How long we keep it
Mailing list details are kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiry emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To do any of these, contact us using the details above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
